to remove egg smell from cake add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix it well with whole mixture

FOR CLEANING BRASS VESSELS WE CAN USE A MIXTURE OF LEMON JUICE,SABENA POWDER,PITHAMBARI POWDER[AVAILABLE IN SUPER MARKET].


Before frying the potatoes just soak the potato pieces in the buttermilk and allow them 2 fry,it will be very tasty and soft.



Mix some vinegar before frying the fish, it will make good taste



if u cut brinjal for cooking and keep, it turns black so to avoid this put some salt in water and keep the brinjal in it,this will not turn them black

After cutting any sour things such as Lime, Tomatoes or Pineapple etc., wash the knife immediately so that the knife does not become blunt.



If salt is more in dish, then add some tomato juice in it. It will make salt less..


Add finely sliced coconut pieces into the curd to bring down its sour taste.

if u want a thick gravy add some maida to few tablespoons of water and mix well till maida dissolves, add this to loose gravy and it will become thick.


1.To cook onions fast add little salt or sugar while frying them in oil.
2.If your curds want to be curled earlier heat mlik till luke warm add 1 tea spoon of curds and close a lid to the vessel and keep the vessel in the hot box, it turns the curds faster, this tip is very useful in winter season and for those who live in cold areas.


coriander leaves after getting from the market,immediately cut the roots and wrap it in the newspaper,store in the container.Keep the container in the fridge and use it when required.It will be farm fresh even after 15 days.

To make crispier, golden brown dosas add a teaspoon of sugar to the dosa batter. It will turn into golden brown tasty too

Eating caulilower makes the stomach bloated.so for this problem we should slightly boil the cauliflower and throw the water,before cooking it.


To save your sugar from ants put some cloves in the jar.

when u make roti or chpati or paratha , put 1 medium spoon yogurt in dough [ aata ],insted of oil, u will make soft roti,without oil


Keep the gas stove in sim mode, after the dish gets the boiling state. Use the small burner always. So yr cylinder comes for long days


Add a pinch of soda-bicarbonate to spinach while blanching to retain its bright green colour.also never overcook greens as they will lose their colour,taste and vital nutrients.



When ever you fry something grease your frying pan with cooking oil and heat it for a min then clean it off if ever you use your frying pan for heating some curry. The frying items wont stick to your pan.



Adding turmeric will help pickles from getting spoilt.



For making soft sauce, add some paneer.



Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda while mixing the dough for 'chappathi' to make it soft.


To make the 'poori' more tastier, add one tablespoon semoline for each 100g wheat flour.



Dal will cook well, if you add a little sesame oil while cooking.



Add a pinch of sugar while cooking spinach, it will retain its green colour.



If a curry turns out too salty, garnish it with some grated coconut mix with cumin powder.



Soak almonds in warm water for a minute, if you need to peel them quickly.



If you want to make crispy potatoes or banana chips, sprinkle salt water over them while frying.



Add a little powdered lemon rind to puddings or deserts to avoid the smell of egg.




If you need only the egg white, for storing the remaining yolk, cover the yolk with water or milk and keep in a cool dark place. Just drain off the liquid before using the yolk.



If the bread is too soft to cut into pieces, hold the knife close to a flame and then slice the bread with it.



Boiled eggs will last longer, if you store the shelled eggs in a bowl of cold water in a refrigerator.


Cut boiled eggs with a knife dipped in hot water to avoid breaking.



Keep boiled eggs in cold water for 5 minutes, this will make removal of the shell easier.


While boiling eggs, put a hole with a pin on the rounded portion of the egg so that the shell won't break when boiling.



You can make tasty chappathi by mixing equal proportion of wheat flour and barley.



Barley powder will increase the taste of meat and vegetable curries.




For thick cream, cover the milk vessel with a thin muslin cloth and refrigerate over night.



After extracting butter from milk cream, add a little milk or curd to the residue and boil. You will get soft 'Paneer'.




Apply some oil on the sides of the vessel in which you boil milk, in order to avoid it from overflowing.



If you don't have any cream to add in the soup or gravy, add a mixture of butter and milk.


Leafy vegetables will remain fresh longer, if wrapped in news papers when you are storing.



For soft Dosas, add some boiled rice to white gram and rice, while grinding.
